There are four boys and two girls in Senior 1. We work well together and support each other in the senior school. There are many changes that we are getting familiar with in Senior School. Pauline, Anne and Niamh are supporting the students to make the transition as smooth as possible.
We are all so happy learning new things. This year is the beginning of the Junior Cycle. We are enabled and have opportunity to explore many new areas of the curriculum. We have cookery class, woodwork, P. E. & lots of interesting projects and activities.
The Junior Cycle is made up of 5 P L U's (Priority Learning Units) Literacy Numeracy Personal Care Living in the Community Preparing for Work
Within each PLU there are many elements and learning outcomes. The parent teacher meetings will answer any questions parents have in relation to the above.

Tea Party Senior 1 set the table every Friday morning and invite some of S6 students to join them for a tea party. They set the table with cups and saucers, plates and serviettes. The table cloth was put on the table. A restaurant effect was created. The students enjoyed it learning table manners and appropriate behaviours. The students were enabled to make tea and toast, butter the toast. Share treats and turn taking skills developed. This activity fits into the JC See photos below. A very enjoyable experience was had by all students.
Woodwork - All Senior 1 pupils are enabled to work at woodwork class. They cut timber, plain it and make various items out of wood. The pupils enjoy the class and are doing well in class.
