Senior 4

Welcome to our Class Page

In Senior 4 this year there are Ava, Ciara, Eoin, Danny, Rebecca and Sophie.

Lisa is our class teacher and and Clodagh, Jacqui and Tara are our SNAs. Kathleen is a support teacher.

We hope you enjoy looking at our class page at all the fun learning
experiences we are having in school!

ENTERPRISE PROJECT

For our enterprise project we made lavender scented play dough to sell. Take a look at our journey from the manufacture to the sale of the finished product.

First we made
posters to
advertise our product.

Then we
made
labels and planned our packaging.

We sold gorgeous scented play dough to other classes.

We counted our money
and worked out
our profit.

Hopefully our customers will enjoy playing with the lavender play dough as much as we do!

Summer Time in Senior 4

Easter in senior 4!

We had a lovely few weeks preparing for Easter in senior 4. We decorated Easter wreaths, made chick themed Easter cards, did pompon painting & had a special visitor who brought us chocolate eggs!

Sensory play in Senior 4

Water Beads

We added water to water beans & we watched them grow & grow & grow!

They feel so lovely & squishy on our hands, especially when we add some warm water :)

Rainbow Rice

We made rainbow rice by mixing rice & poster paints.

Once dry, we mixed them all together!

It’s so relaxing to sprinkle the rice!

Snowy Spring Day!

We couldn’t believe our eyes when it started
snowing one day in March!

We had some
fun outside
throwing snowballs & writing
our names in the snow.

We then created a snowy scene for art.

SPRING

Spring is finally here &
we enjoyed creating some Spring
meadow paintings in art.

First we used
chalk for the
background.

Then we
dipped pipe cleaners and lollipop sticks
into green paint to print stalks

To paint the flowers we used
pompoms, paintbrushes & our fingertips!

PANCAKE TUESDAY

We had great fun celebrating 'Pancake Tuesday' in Senior 4!

To make the pancake batter we mixed the eggs and flour together.

Then we added the milk

Using a scoop
or a ladle,
put some
of the batter
into a
hot pan.

Always be careful when using a hot pan. My teacher helped me.

I bet that you
can't flip a
pancake like me?

We flavoured our pancakes using the traditional Irish method of
mixing sugar and lemon juice together.
We also used maple syrup.

Don't forget
to wash up
afterwards.

I decorated a
pancake themed worksheet.

VALENTINES DAY

We had lots of fun celebrating Valentines' Day in Senior 4. We
made friendship cards for each other, iced biscuits and we did
some Valentines' art.

December

We had a fun and busy December! We made Christmas cards and decorations, cooked delicious Christmas themed food, wrote and posted letters to Santa, celebrated two class birthdays, had a very special visitor who gave us gifts. We also had a Christmas party at the end of term.
