Winter is Here..............
Senior 4 have had a busy week, we were audience members for a lovely concert from Whistleblast and also took part in an experiment exploring sinking and floating. We also got back to our absolute favourite activity, SWIMMING!!!!
Science and burgers
Senior 4 enjoyed some experiments with Dave for Science Week and tasted a new burger from the dining room menu, along with a trip to Cafe Link on the bus. An eventful week !
Fun in Senior 4
Senior 4 had a lovely week. We visited the school library, started to make our shoe box winter dioramas and made toast in cookery.

Senior 4 enjoying the playground, finishing their dioramas with snow spray and working hard in woodwork.
Spectacular Concerts
Senior 4 enjoyed two concerts last week, and will be enjoying more concerts this week. The concerts below include: Stephen Mc Ginley : juggle.ie : Juggler and Performer Extraordinaire and a lively performance from the Barcelo Brothers which some parents also got to enjoy.
Huge shout out to the Department of Culture who provided funding for these fabulous concerts !!!
Hello December!
Senior 4 helped decorate the classroom whilst learning about shape and height this week. We also enjoyed more energetic concerts, along with a trip to the Westside library for some Christmas Stories.

January Antics with Senior 4
Senior 4 explored fruit textures through printing with citrus fruits as part of their Junior Cycle short course ' Food Glorious Food', They also practiced paying for goods as part of the priority learning unit Numeracy as well as celebrating a big birthday for a pupil with a larger than life personality!
Visit to Pet Shop - Pet Mania
Senior 4 saw lots of different animals in the pet shop including: fish, dwarf hamsters, lizards and dogs. They enjoyed exploring the dog toys, equipment and food. We were lucky enough to watch a lovely dog being groomed as well, a great bus trip :)
Music and Cookery Class

Senior 4 braved the chilly winter air to get some exercise done. They loved looking at the sea waves hitting the rocks.

Senior 4 visited Bushypark Vets as part of their Caring for Animals Short Course fro ther Junior Cycle, they received a tour of the practice and even got to see the x-ray machine in action. Of course the pupils made a fluffy friend along the way also.
