Last Few Outings
Senior 4 enjoyed their last few outings, a walk to a local cafe accompanied by some treats when we got there, and a walk near the water behind the golf course in Salthill.
Senior 4 really enjoyed Sports Day. They played golf, hurling and soccer. They practiced throwing at a target, completing an obstacle course and loads more fun activities. A pupil brought in their own selfie stick so we could take a group photo on the day. The hurling proved to be a big hit with most of the pupils. Be sure to watch slideshow below.

Dogs Trust and a Special Visitor
Pupils from Senior 4 were delighted to meet Aoife Murdock from Dogs Trust. Aoife gave a very informative presentation on dogs, she asked the pupils lots of questions and showed them how to deal with dogs if they were scared. Both pupils and staff really enjoyed the presentation. A big thank you to Aoife Murdock from Dogs Trust.
The following day a special visitor called to see Senior 4 to see if they could remember all the things Aoife told them about dogs, see photos below :)
Caring For Animals
Senior 4 have been super busy doing their Junior Cycle Short Course: Caring For Animals. As many of the pupils have dogs at home we decided to focus on this animal for our project. The pupils researched the topics of feeding, drinking, exercising and grooming for a class presentation. We practiced speaking and using lámh signs to present the classes research on Caring For Dogs to Senior 1 & 2. The pupils did really well and were very happy with how the presentation went.
