St. Patricks Day Badges
In senior 3 we made St. Patricks Day badges with felt material. We used a maths compass to get the shape of a circle. We used a scissors to (very carefully) cut out the material. Afterwards we glued all the felt pieces together. Here we are modelling the finished product.
Mothers Day Cards
We did an experiment to see how plants drink water. We used a stick of celery and food dye.
We measured the length of the celery stick. We poured blue food dye into a container of water. Then we placed the celery into the liquid solution. The blue coloured liquid travelled slowly up through the celery stick.
We made Saint Brigid crosses on 1st February.

Many thanks to GAP for inviting us to the reopening of their newly refurbished house - Tigh Ronain. We really enjoyed the day.
This science week experiment taught us about building and design. Can you believe we used spaghetti and marshmallows to do this!
The Aquarium comes to St. Josephs.
Today a lady from the Galway Atlantaquaria came to visit us. She taught us all about the creatures who live in the deep blue sea. She even brought examples of the sealife with her! Take a look . . . . . . . .

Photographs of some children training in the school hall for a special olympics - gymnastics event, which will be held on November 25th in Galway.
Take a look at some of the art work that we entered into art competitions.
Karl took this photograph. It is a photo of a horse chestnut tree. Karl is monitoring this tree in order to record how it changes over the school year. Some of its leaves have started to fall.
Fallen leaves. Karl took these photographs.
Galway Autism Partnership organised a day at the cinema for lots of children and they kindly asked us if we would like to go too.
We went to the cinema to see a film called 'Inside Out'. It taught us a lot about the feelings that we have inside us - sadness, happiness, anger, disgust and fear.
