We are so lucky that we get to explore lots of different instruments in our weekly music sessions with Niall.

Cooking Up a Storm in Senior 2!

We love our weekly cooking lessons in S2. We work on lots of important life skills like peeling, chopping, opening cans, cracking eggs, measuring on scales, using a hob and microwave safely & following a simple recipe. We also make a batch of home made playdough at the start of each term which we love playing with in class!

Out & About with Senior 2!

We love getting out into the community in Senior 2.
We often go for walks in nature, buy things from the local shops and take out books from Westside Library.

Signs of Winter

During the recent frosty weather we took time outside to identify and record signs of winter. We made sure to be wearing our warm winter clothes, just like in our winter circle time song.

Salt Snowflakes

Inspired by the freezing temperatures we made salt snowflakes for our art lesson. First we used glue to trace a snowflake pattern. Next we sprinkled salt on the glue and let it dry for a little while. It looked just like a real snowflake. Finally we added some winter water-colours and a little bit of glitter to help them sparkle.

Cookery

We have been working on lots of skills in Cookery classes including mixing, weighing, sifting, cracking eggs and following recipes.... not forgetting the important job of washing up afterwards!
