We thought things could not get any better after our Christmas lunch yesterday until Santa dropped in for a visit today. The photos below don't quite capture the excitement of the event but you will get some idea of how well he was received. Thanks to Galway Lions Club for organising the visit.
The Kiltullagh Community Choir provided a great nights entertainment in St Nicholas Church last Friday night. The concert was very well attended and the best news of all is that a whopping €4,330.00 has been raised for the school. Well done to all the parents who were involved in organising the event. Thanks to all who bought and sold tickets and to those who attended the show. Thanks to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle. Special thanks to the members of the choir for making it such a memorable evening. We are looking forward to spending the money in the New Year.
Click on the gallery page to see the lovely Christmas art work. On the subject of art, we were delighted that Junior 4, Junior 5 and Senior 3 won prizes in the Credit Union Art competition. Congratulations.
We are getting into festive mode in St Joseph's. The pupils are getting excited about a visit from Santa. The tree is up and art work is beginning to appear on the notice boards. We expect to have Fr Martin from the Cathedral up to the school this week to bless the crib. over the next two weeks there will be lots of activities based around the Christmas celebrations and the birth of the baby Jesus. This is a video made last year of some of the artwork on display in the school. Lets see if this year is even better.
