This week at assembly Senior 5 told us all about a dance called the waltz. We took to the floor each morning, dancing to the 'Viennese Waltz' and 'The Blue Danube'. After a week of talent spotting, on Friday we selected a couple from each class to take part in our Strictly Come Dancing Competition. Everybody put in a great effort before we eventually chose a winning pair from the junior and senior school. Well done!
Breda presented certificates this morning at assembly to 10 pupils. These have been awarded by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) in recognition of their learning in a range of areas. The awarding body was previously known as FETAC .
For a number of years the school has been offering a programme at Level 1 and Level 2- Independent Living Skills to Senior pupils. However, with the new Junior Cycle Course coming on stream we have decided to end this programme and teach the Junior Cycle Programme. Already a course at Level 2 has been made available and a Level 1 programme is being developed. Teachers will need training and we plan to avail of this in the coming year. Congratulations to all our successful pupils this year and we look forward to engaging with the new Junior Cert
