We are sad to hear that Chris Conneely principal of St Joseph's from 1965 to 1990 passed away this week. She was an inspiration to all who worked with her and will be forever remembered for her pioneering work in special education and for her work in developing support services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Most of all she will be remembered for the warmth and generosity she brought to her work and for the great spirit of cooperation she fostered throughout the school community. Lovely picture here of pupils who received the sacrament of Reconciliation this week. They will be making their first Holy Communion on May 20th. We are looking forward to a great day. Thanks to Fr. Martin for the nice ceremony on Tuesday and all the staff who prepared the pupils so well. More success with Special Olympics.
This time 6 pupils excelled at the swimming event in Leisureland held on Thursday. We will be competing in athletic events next term. For now we are taking a rest for Easter. We look forward to the last term. Enjoy the break everyone. |
