13 of our pupils competed yesterday in gymnastics in Athlone.3 of the pupils represented the Headford Special Olympics Club and the rest had been trained by our PE teacher Karen. They were all in this morning weighed down by all the medals won in hoop, ribbon, vault and floor competitions. There were lots of competitors at the event and and it was wonderful to see our pupils perform so well.
We were treated to a sample of their skills this morning at assembly. Congratulations to all and thanks to the hard work done by the school Special Olympic Committee. |
