Its Summer Term!
To mark the beginning of Summer, Junior 5 planted sunflower seeds. They have all sprouted and we will send them home in time for planting!
Spring It was a busy spring term in Junior 5. We had lots of fun outings as well as special programmes at the school. At the end of the term, we welcomed Zuzanna to our classroom. We are all so happy to have her in our class.
P.E. has been lots of fun this term
Some of the pupils enjoyed nature walks
Some of the pupils experienced their first woodwork sessions
We enjoyed some science experiments
In early spring we visited the garden centre and explored their different areas, including the fish pond and birds!!
We had fun making our clay tiles for a display that will go up on the school walls.
Winter has arrived
January has arrived and we are all busy having fun in the classroom and playground. Our theme in January was transport and we got to see lots of machinery in the streets around our school this month. We also visited the harbour and looked at boats, went by the railway station to see trains and watch cars and trucks go under the railway bridge. It was all so much fun.
Christmas! Such fun in Junior 5. Lots of work and crafts and fun!!
As we get used to the cold weather, Junior 5 have been working with clay to make special Christmas gifts for their families.
Winter fun in St Josephs! The pupils in Junior 5 love the arts - music, dance and art.
Autumn in our classroom Autumn came to an end with our Halloween celebrations! There were lots of superheros in Junior 5
We all enjoyed a very fun bike week at school with lots of special events.
We have all settled into our new school year and are so pleased to be back at school. We are enjoying meeting old and new friends as well as being introduced to new work activities.
We have been enjoying the good September weather - playing in our fantastic playground, going on nature walks and visiting a local community garden to pick vegetables.
